The one question: How thick is your thickest workpiece? The 110-series also marks the point where the carpentry line begins—according to the manufacturer, the K 105 is the only handheld circular saw with a cutting depth of at least 100 mm on the rail. In furniture workshops and when working with panel materials, the need usually stops at the 88-series—the K 105 is the exception, not the entry-level model.

The big question: Do you cut in batches, or do you also make individual cuts? The KSS does both—it’s a track-mounted crosscut saw and a handheld circular saw without the track. Side note for panels: KSS 300, starting at €751. Countertops and cabinet bodies don’t require an 88 mm cutting depth—the KSS 80 is for those who cut planks and log stock.

Three questions instead of one: cutting height, weight on the job site (the Erika 70 weighs 22.2 kg), and budget. The RUWI table extension is a good match for the Erika 70 and 85—it provides more support to the left and right of the saw blade.
Listed in order of price, without introductory text: MS 55 / MS 55-18 (starting at €388 / €399) are the entry-level models without a track focus. The Flexistem KSP 40 (starting at €633) creates a shadow gap starting at a 13 mm wall clearance. The DD40 P (€1,059) joins the DDF 40 as a model designed for continuous use in the series.
The F-System accommodates plunge saws, handheld circular saws, miter rail saws, jigsaws, routers, and multi-tools on the same rail. Two starter sets are available: 2 × F 160 with connector, clamps, and carrying case (209591, €369) or F 80 + F 160 with angle stop (209592, €430).
Open-tool design: The MT 55 is also compatible with third-party rail systems—you don't have to replace your existing system.
Mafell is a founding member of the Cordless Alliance System—which has grown since 2018 to include 50 partner brands and over 500 cordless tools (as of April 2026). Your PowerTank powers Mafell saws as well as Metabo tools, the Lamello Zeta P2, and the Prebena nailer—one charging system for the entire van.
To be honest: Mafell doesn't offer cordless versions of planers, sanders, vacuum cleaners, routers, or DuoDübler tools. CAS powers four of these tools with the same PowerTank (Metabo HO 18 and OFV 18, Lamello Zeta P2 Cordless, Starmix vacuum); for sanding, we recommend Mirka or Festool. And before you buy: CAS isn’t compatible with Festool, Bosch, Makita, or Hikoki—which system do you use?
The tools come in a T-MAX case; the MAX holder on the S 35 M accommodates all generations of Systainers and L-BOXXes. Your existing case system can be attached—regardless of the manufacturer.
Anyone who cuts long workpieces knows that moment when the board tips over the edge of the table. That’s why we built the “ table extension ” for the Erika 70/85: tool-free clamped onto the dovetail profile, without an adapter. Two lengths—77 cm for frame lumber and medium-sized panels, 104 cm for countertops and long boards.

Mafell-Complete covers every machine for 36 months—including wear parts and pickup service. ServicePLUS extends this coverage for an additional 36 months for €36. Mafell stocks replacement parts for 10 or 15 years. Don’t throw away your saw blades: Resharpening costs €16–30 and can be done up to ten times. And if a machine does eventually wear out: Mafell buys and sells its own used machines—the best proof that these tools retain their value. Repairability as a design principle is exactly the standard we apply to our own products.
Three examples: We do not include the S 25 L because dust class L does not meet the wood dust requirement—and upgrading to class M costs €285, not a multiple of that amount. The NFU groove cutters are tools for timber construction. And Mafell itself separates its carpentry line from its joinery line—we follow the same approach.
HOLZ-HANDWERK 2000, Nuremberg
In 2000, Reiner Ruggaber had built a “ router table ” but had no booth where he could display it. He showed it to Ernst Krauss, who was then at the helm of Mafell. Krauss saw the potential in the table, encouraged him—and made room for him at the Mafell booth at the HOLZ-HANDWERK trade show in Nuremberg.
There stood the first RUWI router table , right next to the machines of a manufacturer that was well over a hundred years old at the time. One square meter of booth space for a company that had nothing to show for it—and a statement from someone who knew what he was talking about.
We look up to this company: founded in 1899, with everything developed and manufactured in Oberndorf, and an in-house production rate of up to 85 percent. That’s the kind of thing we like to measure ourselves against.
