Our story began in 1975 in our own workshop. Join us on our journey to discover what we are really made of - and how this gave rise to genuine innovative strength.
1975
Carpenter's workshop
The origins of RUWI lie in a passion for craftsmanship - and in its own workshop. Reiner Ruggaber learned the carpentry trade at a young age and continued to develop himself over the years. With great dedication, he constantly expanded his wealth of experience and his ability to find creative solutions.
2000
Unfolding
Step by step, Reiner's enthusiasm for tinkering was also sparked - his urge to develop became more and more apparent. He created his own tools and solutions to continuously develop the workshop. Finally, Reiner decided to combine his two passions - craftsmanship and development. Determined to follow this path, he laid the foundation stone for RUWI.
2005
Power of attraction
The enthusiasm for craftsmanship and tinkering developed a strong attraction for other wood professionals. For them, too, the combination of craftsmanship and technical development sparked undreamt-of potential. New tools, machines and solutions were created in a joint exchange.
2010
Focus
The focus has always been on strengthening and empowering the craft, the people in it and the workshop as a whole. The desire of the RUWI tinkerers is to unleash the innovative power of the workshop - because they themselves were shaped in and by the workshop. With every tool, every machine and every solution, the RUWI team expresses that the power for development and the future lies in the workshop and in craftsmanship.
2015
Pass on
After 15 years of passionate work, the impact is clearly visible: existing things have been developed further, new things have been created. The greatest privilege remains to ignite the potential in others. What the father started is now being shaped by his two sons - they are growing into their roles and contributing their own innovative strength. RUWI is growing with the next generation - committed, capable and future-oriented.

Over the last ten years, the skilled crafts sector has changed dramatically: Efficiency often displaced craftsmanship, challenges increased and the potential for innovation remained untapped in many places. This is precisely where RUWI comes in: We believe in the future strength of the skilled trades. For 25 years, we have been strengthening the innovative power of the skilled trades with developments, principles and solutions. Because the future is created in workshops - including yours.
