Our tools and machines are built to last. We use only high-quality components and have gained extensive experience in preventing problems in the workshop. That’s why we have no issues with warranty claims—even if they extend beyond the 2-year warranty period. We’re always looking for a good solution that works for both of us.

We have 100% of our replacement parts in stock.

He spends the whole day working with hand-held power tools: a plunge saw, a miter saw, a router, and a sander. At the end of the day, he vacuums the workshop—the regulations require at least Class M for that, too. And he stands under the Erika, where his 58-mm connection docks directly into the under-table fitting—third-party vacuums with a 50-mm socket need a homemade adapter there.

The warning system is the key legal requirement: If the airflow falls below the setpoint—full bag, clogged filter, kinked hose—the device emits an audible alert. This is precisely what distinguishes the dust collector from a workshop vacuum cleaner, and it is precisely why it is permitted for use with handheld power tools; a device that merely displays the airflow does not meet the requirement. Add to that 270 m³/h at 280 mbar, a 35-liter container, the sensor-controlled iPulse cleaning system—which clears the filter on demand rather than at fixed intervals—and the device outlet with automatic power-on. We’ll be upfront about its origins: In industry forums, the vacuum is considered a Starmix-based unit, though this has not been officially confirmed—warranty, service, and replacement parts are all handled entirely by Mafell.

The fact that you’re buying the Mafell tool at RUWI isn’t a given: We’re manufacturers ourselves—tools for woodworking professionals from Fluorn-Winzeln, 4 kilometers from Mafell’s main plant in Oberndorf am Neckar. We carry only what we can recommend based on our own experience—and we deliberately don’t sell you the cheaper “L” model for the hand-held machine.

Here's how to use it

  • Working on the hand-operated machine all day: The automatic start feature turns it on along with the machine—otherwise, the most common reason for the flow rate to drop to zero is a forgotten button.
  • Under the Erika: 58-mm connection directly to the under-counter fitting—no need to tinker with adapters.
  • At the grinding station: iPulse keeps the filter free of fine dust at all times—consistent suction power instead of a gradual loss.
  • Case on top: The standard MAX holder accommodates Systainers of all generations and the L-BOXX—no matter which brand your case set is from.

Does this fit in your workshop?

Mafell doesn’t offer a cordless dust extractor—if you need to extract dust on a job site without a power outlet, you’re honestly better off with the Festool CTMC MIDI or the Bosch GAS 18V-12 MC. Every portable dust extractor reaches its limit when connected to a stationary machine: A 100-mm inlet requires more than this class of devices can provide—that also applies to our own router table with its 120-mm-diameter dual extraction system; that’s where a chip extraction system belongs. And a frank look at Festool: The CTM 36 E AC is the widespread standard and usually has a lower street price—the S 35 M, however, holds its own with greater suction power, sensor cleaning, and a 58-mm connection, making it the top choice for the Erika. Here’s another honest point: A vacuum cleaner plus a powerful machine will trip a 16-A fuse—large routers should be connected to two separate circuits when used with the vacuum cleaner.
