The Erika 60 is the saw for those who carry it up a flight of stairs themselves—at 22.2 kg, this is easily manageable. It makes cut-to-length cuts of up to 215 mm on a stationary workpiece and cuts material up to 61 mm thick. The principle is the same as with its larger counterparts: The workpiece is held securely in place, the saw unit moves beneath the table—and returns to its starting position after the cut.

The 1,300-watt motor has a fixed speed. If you need to cut a lot of aluminum or plastic profiles, the Erika 70 is a better choice. A universal stop with a guide rail is included as standard; according to Mafell, accessories from the previous Erika 55/60 E series are still compatible (manufacturer’s specification).

The fact that you’re buying it from RUWI isn’t a given: We’re the manufacturers ourselves—tools for woodworking professionals from Fluorn-Winzeln, 4 kilometers from the Mafell factory in Oberndorf am Neckar. We carry only what we can recommend based on our own experience—and we’re honest about its limitations. With this saw, that means we’ll tell you clearly when the 60 is sufficient and when it isn’t.

Here's how to use it

  • Carry it alone during installation: 22.2 kg up stairs and across floors—cut to size directly at the installation site.
  • Cutting to length in batches: consistent results every time thanks to the stop—the workpiece is held securely in place, and the blade comes to the wood.
  • Rip cutting and trimming: Saw unit locked in the rear position, rip fence set—the machine switches from continuous cutting to rip cutting along the stationary blade, for solid wood up to 61 mm thick.
  • Miters and bevel cuts: Saw blade tilts from –2° to 47°; at 45°, the cutting height is still 39 mm—angle cuts are made using the same stop as for straight cuts.
  • Cutting small pieces: What would slip on a construction site table saw stays securely in place against the stop here.

Does this fit in your workshop?

The 60 does not have an adjustable speed. Keep this in mind when working with laminated panels, aluminum profiles, and acrylic—if you need an adjustable speed, the Erika 70 or the Erika 85 is the right choice. For material thicknesses of 61 mm and above, the 70 is the better option; for 72 mm and above, the 85 is recommended. A construction site table saw can handle rough longitudinal cuts of lumber for a fraction of the price.

And here’s something to consider before you plan your accessories: The 60 has its own, smaller dovetail profile—it’s not compatible with the 70/85 accessory line. If you switch to the 70 or 85 later on, you’ll be replacing not just the machine, but all of its accessories as well. You’ll want to factor that into your calculations. Our “ table extension ” doesn’t fit the Erika 60—it’s designed for the 70 and 85.

You can read about why your dust collector should be Dust Class M in the information article on wood dust extraction —and the Machine Advisor will guide you to the right saw in just a few questions.
