The RUWI router table Basic is the entry-level model in the router table series—a 1,050-watt router motor on a compact table surface measuring 520 × 430 mm. Designed for woodworking shops with limited space, for self-employed professionals who want to start with a single spindle and expand with accessories, and for pros who need a portable router for construction sites and assembly work.
The motor is permanently mounted—not a handheld router that can get jammed, but a heavy-duty router motor designed for continuous workshop use. You can adjust the speed continuously from 8,000 to 25,000 rpm, with soft start constant speed under load and inrush current limiting. The steel spindle (Ø 22 mm) runs on dual ball bearings; a counter-rotating return thread keeps dust out of the bearings. You can change tools up to Ø 40 mm from the top; standardcollet Ø 8 mm. The dual dust extraction system above and below the tabletop (connection Ø 120 mm) is standard. GS-certified (DGUV Test), tested for wood dust, developed and manufactured in Germany.
What makes the Basic special is its mobility: Instead of four castors like on the larger models, there are two transport casters in the back. You tilt the table backward and roll it like a hand truck—through doors, up and down stairs, to the construction site, and back. At 57 kg net weight , you can do it all by yourself.
Here's how to use it
-
Rounding Edges: Furniture parts, cutting boards, profiled edges—the rounding cutter remains in place while the workpiece moves toward the tool.
-
slots and grooving: back panel grooves, connector slots, Lamelloslots – more dimensionally accurate on the fixed spindle than with the guided hand-held machine.
-
Flush and copy milling: Using a template and a guide ring, the shape is repeated part by part.
-
Take it to the construction site: tip, roll, load—the two transport casters make moving it a one-person job.
-
Supplementing the CNC: Finishing operations and one-off parts for which it isn't worth creating a CNC program are done manually in the next room.
-
Training: GS-certified (DGUV Test) and tested for wood dust—also suitable for training workshops, vocational schools, and companies that provide on-the-job training.
Does this fit in your workshop?
With a footprint of 520 × 430 mm and a height of 910 mm working height , the Basic fits even in a crowded workshop. Exhaust connection Ø 120 mm for your exhaust system; additional collets are available for Ø 6 / 6.35 / 9.5 / 10 mm shanks. Later upgrades are modular: guide rail, table extension (with mounting kit), or fine adjustment —all from the same system.
If you need three milling cutters running in parallel, check out the RUWI router table Classic; for more motor power and factory-set 0.1-mm fine adjustment, there’s the Classic Performance; and for five to ten spindles, there’s the flagship Premium model.
