Brief description

The collet the link between the milling cutter and the spindle: it transmits power from the motor to the cutter shank and keeps it precisely centered with perfect concentricity. At the high rotational speeds of a milling table, even a slight imbalance is enough to cause vibrations, an uneven milled surface, and premature tool wear. A collet manufactured to fit exactly one shank diameter and encloses it almost completely—ensuring that the milling cutter runs smoothly and sits securely.

This precision collet has multiple slots. A single-slotted collet applies pressure at only a few points; multiple slots distribute the pressure evenly around the entire circumference. The collet grips the shank , increasing the grip, and you need less force to securely clamp the cutter—which really pays off, especially with large cutters and hard materials like hardwood or MDF.

The collet router table for the RUWI router table and comes with a matching lock nut. It’s available in five shank sizes ranging from 6 to 10 mm—since each collet one diameter, choose the one that matches shank router bit. Keep it clean and check it for wear before use: A clean, undamaged collet more securely and also protects the router bit. For the router table Performance router table , the collet is available in eleven sizes ranging from 3 to 12.7 mm.
