The L-BOXX Contractor trolley holds the machine, tools, and accessories, while the tool tray organizes small parts on top. 100 Years of Kettenstemmer – What the Numbers on the Chain Mean

In 1926, Mafell introduced its first chain-driven mortiser. In 2026, the LS 103 Ec can mortise holes up to 100 mm deep; with the FG 150 guide frame, up to 140 mm; and with the SG 230, SG 400, or SG 500 slot frames, up to 500 mm.

The chain kit has three dimensions, which are 28 × 40 × 100 mm: 28 mm chain width, 40 mm hole width, and 100 mm drive depth. For different pin sizes, simply swap out the kit—the tensioning system allows you to change and retension the chain while the chain guard is installed.
