RUWI Workshop Tools · Configurators, Finders, and Calculators

We're not looking for trends. We're looking for principles. This is where you put them into practice.

Our 25 years of expertise in the carpentry trade, transformed into practical guides you can use yourself—for carpentry and all related fields: wood framing, assembly, and plastics processing. No registration required, no forms to fill out, and brand-neutral. You can print, share, or bring any of these guides to your workshop discussions.

How a Volunteer Works

1 You answer the workshop questions

The same questions we would ask you over the phone: What are you working on, which machine, which slot. About a minute.

2 You'll get an honest answer

Recommendation with justification, item numbers, and total (net or gross). And when the honest answer is, “You don’t need anything new”—that’s exactly what it says.

3 You take the result with you

As a link, via WhatsApp or email, printed out, or added directly to your shopping cart. Or you can bring it with you to your workshop consultation.

The Reason Behind It

These tools are based on the principles of “ RUWI ”: use what’s already there and transform it. Our consulting expertise, drawn from thousands of workshop discussions, has been translated into tools that empower you to be independent—from us, from brands, and from gut feelings.

What we're asked about

Do I have to sign up?

No. No account, no form, no email address. Your answers stay in your browser and in the link you share yourself. What we track is anonymous and cookie-free: how many workshops a volunteer starts and how many they complete to earn a recommendation.

Where do the prices come from?

All prices are net prices from Fluorn-Winzeln; in each helper, you can switch to gross prices. The price in the shopping cart is the final price.

My machine isn't on the list. What should I do now?

Then call: +49 7402 8414. Or send a photo of the slot or the installation to info@ruwi.de —a picture often shows you what fits in just ten seconds. The support staff cover the most common cases, not every custom installation.

Do you only recommend " RUWI" items?

No. The table extension finder detects whether you already have an extension from AIGNER or RUWI , and then tells you: “You have everything you need.” If an adapter is all you need, it will list the adapter—not the new table. And if you don’t need anything at all, it will say exactly that.

Can I take the results with me?

Yes. You can share each result as a link, send it via WhatsApp or email, print it out, or add it to your shopping cart. Many people bring the printout with them to their workshop consultation—that way, we don't have to start from scratch.

"The initial phone call was informative … My subsequent purchase from the online store went just as smoothly."

Would you rather talk than click?

Each of these support staff members will ask you the same questions we would ask you over the phone. If you prefer a more direct approach: face-to-face—in person, via video, or over the phone.

The workshop assistants from RUWI

Good advice starts before you buy. That’s why RUWI offers workshop tools: configurators that turn your everyday needs into model recommendations, finders that resolve compatibility issues in seconds, and calculators that lay your numbers out on the table with complete transparency. They work just like our machines: mechanically honest, with every calculation out in the open, and no frills.

Which tool for which question: If you want to know which lifting table is right for your work, the lifting table configurator will guide you through the same questions you’d normally be asked over the phone. If you want to configure a router table , you’ll end up with the machine, accessories, and the right cutters—each item listed with its part number. When using the table extension for the Mafell Erika, the finder first checks whether anything is missing at all—often, an adapter is all you need for what you already have. And if you’re looking for quick-release clamps for slot 8, you’ll have a complete list after answering just three questions.

For the machining process itself: The milling tool advisor guides you from radius, chamfer, or slot to the right milling cutter—whether it’s in stock or from the catalog, which we’ll order for you.

There are two numbers to consider before every purchase. The hourly rate calculator determines what your workshop hour really costs based on wages, productive hours, and overhead—and shows you how far your current rate is from that figure. The “Investment vs. Purchasefeature shows you what’s left from a machine after deducting sales tax and depreciation, for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. You should have both figures on the table before you place an order.

No registration required—every result can be printed, shared, or taken with you to your workshop consultation. And if a technician reaches their limit, they’ll tell you openly—and give you their phone number. That’s how we’ve been working in Fluorn-Winzeln since 2000.
