Accessories

Carbon brushes are wear parts: They transmit electricity to the motor’s commutator and wear down over time. This set includes two replacement carbon brushes with connecting wires for the 1,050-watt drive motors of the RUWI router tables Basic, Classic, and Premium models. If you replace them in a timely manner, the motor will continue to run smoothly—rather than experiencing increased sparking and a loss of power.

Here's how to use it

  • Replace them in a timely manner: increased spark plug sparking and declining performance are the signs—replacement takes just a few minutes and doesn't require a trip to the repair shop.
  • Preventive replacement: With high production volumes, replace the carbon brushes before they become worn and damage the collector—two carbon brushes cost a fraction of the price of the motor.
  • One set per spindle in the cabinet: With the Premium model, which has multiple drive units, the spare parts are always on hand—no spindle is ever out of service due to a worn part.

Will this fit your engine?

This set is compatible with the 1,050-watt motors in the Basic, Classic, and Premium models, as well as with the drive motor and drive unit sold separately. For the Classic Performance (1,600 watts), you’ll need its own replacement carbon brush set —this one won’t fit there. If replacing the carbon brushes no longer helps, you can have the motor repaired by the manufacturer.
