Here's what's included
• 1 × stop ruler (depending on model: Basic without, Classic and Premium with fine depth adjustment)
• 2 × adjustable stop jaws
• 2 × stops for plunge routing
• 1 × pressure device
The guide rail is the guide stop for your RUWI router table : You use it to guide the workpiece past the cutter—for slots, grooves, profiles, and chamfers. Machined from anodized aluminum, it attaches via the tool-free quick-change system and can be freely slid across the table top; when ordering, select the version that matches your table model.
You can adjust the two 300-mm-long stop jaws horizontally and vertically to adapt the opening to the cutter diameter—from small rounding cutters up to Ø 40 mm. A clamping device holds narrow strips and short workpieces against the stop and the table, while two stops for plunge cutting limit the feed rate for stop grooves and recesses.
The Classic and Premium models feature a tool-free fine depth adjustment: You can adjust the stop with precision down to a tenth of a millimeter—which is important when planing solid wood moldings and in any situation where measurements must be repeatable. The Basic model does not include this fine adjustment feature.
Here's how to use it
- slots and create grooves: the workpiece passes between the 300-mm jaws and the milling cutter—the opening is set as narrow as the milling cutter allows.
- Reproducing milling depth: Once the depth is set using the fine-tuning feature (Classic/Premium), each part is milled to the same depth slot —without the need for test milling.
- Milling stop grooves: the two feed stops define the start and end points—the recesses are positioned in the exact same place, part after part.
- Milling narrow strips safely: The clamping device holds the workpiece against the stop and the table—your hands guide it instead of pressing down.
- Moving Between Spindles (Classic/Premium): The ruler is moved freely across the table top and secured in front of the respective drive unit—a single stop for all mounted tools.
- Tidy up after work: When hooked onto the back of the machine, the ruler is both stowed away and within easy reach.
Does this go with your router table?
When ordering, select by table model: router table Basic (without fine depth adjustment), router table Classic, or router table Premium (both with tool-free fine depth adjustment). If you have the router table Classic Performance, choose the Classic version—it has the same table surface (640 × 500 mm) as the Classic.
For outer and inner radii, add the "RUWI " curved ruler, which attaches directly to the guide ruler. The ruler is manufactured in Germany.
