Is the " router table " Premium a good fit for your work?

The configurator asks about your workpieces, your tools, and your available space—and shows you which router table is the right fit. Even if it’s a different model.

The idea behind it

The basic idea behind the router table was to have tools such as lamella groovers, chamfering cutters, and rounding cutters available in a matter of seconds. The goal was to eliminate the time-consuming process of setting up and changing the various milling tools.

Reiner Ruggaber

The RUWI router table Premium is the flagship model of the router table series—five router motors on a 1,070 × 500 mm table surface, expandable in a modular fashion to up to ten. This allows you to complete in a single machine what would otherwise require multiple routing passes or setup cycles. If you regularly need five or more tools to be ready for use at all times—for producing series of profiles, furniture parts, or industrial manufacturing—this is the right choice for you.

Each of the five motors delivers 1,050 watts; you can adjust the speed continuously from 8,000 to 25,000 rpm—with soft start, constant speed under load, and inrush current limiting, designed for continuous operation. The steel spindle (Ø 22 mm) with a return thread keeps dust out of the bearings, and the double-bearing design ensures smooth rotation; You can change tools up to Ø 40 mm from the top. The dual dust extraction system above and below the tabletop (connection Ø 120 mm) is standard. GS-certified (DGUV Test), tested for wood dust, developed and manufactured in Germany.

What makes the Premium model special is its expandability: mounting points and connectors for five additional drive units are pre-installed at the factory. If your business grows or you add a new profile, you can retrofit a spindle—without needing a new machine or any modifications. Five tools on demand today; maybe eight in two years; ten in five.

Here's how to use it

  • Running production runs without tool changes: the workpiece moves from spindle to spindle through all processing steps—setup time occurs where it should: just once, beforehand.
  • Keep standard tools on hand: slotting cutters, chamfering cutters, and rounding cutters remain set—the quick change takes just seconds instead of a full setup cycle.
  • Feeding panels and long pieces: The 1,070-mm-wide table surface provides support for furniture parts and panel material both in front of and behind the router.
  • Grow with your business: retrofit an additional drive unit as soon as the sixth tool is needed on a permanent basis—the mounting point and power outlet are already in place.
  • Supplementing the CNC: Finishing touches and small steps that aren't worth the effort of creating a CNC program are done manually right next door.
  • Training: GS-certified (DGUV Test) and tested for wood dust—also suitable for training workshops, vocational schools, and companies that provide on-the-job training.

Does this fit in your workshop?

The table rests on four castors with brakes—the 130 kg net weight roll into place and then lock securely. working height 910 mm, with a Ø 120 mm exhaust connection for your exhaust system. The standardcollet is Ø 8 mm; additional collets are available for Ø 6 / 6.35 / 9.5 / 10 mm shanks.

If three spindles are enough for you, the RUWI router table Classic is the better choice. If you need more motor power and 0.1-mm fine adjustment as standard, check out the Classic Performance; for beginners, there’s the Basic model with one spindle.
