If you replace them in a timely manner, the motor will continue to run smoothly—rather than experiencing increased sparking and a loss of power.

  • Replace them in a timely manner: increased spark plug sparking and declining performance are the signs—replacement takes just a few minutes and doesn't require a trip to the repair shop.
  • Replace as a preventive measure: The 1,600-watt motor, in particular, is often in continuous use—so when production volumes are high, replace it before worn-out carbon brushes damage the commutator.
  • Build up a stock: Having a spare set in the closet lets you get through wear and tear without any downtime—two carbon brushes cost a fraction of the price of the motor.

This set is designed for the 1,600-watt motor of the RUWI router table Classic Performance model. For the Basic, Classic, and Premium models (1,050 watts), you’ll need the standard replacement carbon brush set —the two sets are not interchangeable. If replacing the carbon brushes no longer helps, the manufacturer offers motor repair services.
