Accessories

The RUWI router table drive motor, rated at 1,050 watts, is the original motor installed in all standard models of the RUWI router table series—Basic, Classic, and Premium. It serves as a replacement for a motor that has reached the end of its service life after years of workshop use, or as an additional drive unit if you’re expanding your table.

1,050 watts at 230 V with stepless speed control from 8,000 to 25,000 rpm. The speed remains constant under load—that’s what makes the difference in profile milling: no speed drops, no burn marks, and a clean cut. soft start with inrush current limiting, steel spindle on double ball bearings with a dust-proof return thread. Standardcollet Ø 8 mm (alternatively 6 / 6.35 / 9.5 / 10 mm), tools up to Ø 40 mm. The collet has a diameter of Ø 43 mm—the common standard size for router motors. Weighing 2.38 kg net weight and with a sound pressure level of 81 dB(A), it is designed for continuous operation; manufactured in Germany.

Here's how to use it

  • Replacing a worn-out motor: The original motor replaces the old one—the table stays the same; only the drive mechanism is new.
  • Extending the table: Set up an additional spindle if the next tool will be used on a permanent basis.
  • Build Your Own Routing Stations: The Ø-43 clamping collar fits into standard mounts for router motors—ideal for custom designs and prototypes.
  • Profile milling under load: The control system maintains the speed during flush milling, edge profiling, and groove joints—in wood, plastic, and composite materials.

Does this go with your router table?

The motor fits in the RUWI router table Basic, Classic, and Premium models. One important limitation: It is not intended for the Classic Performance —that model’s 1,600-watt motor is a separate type.

The replacement carbon brush set is available as a wear part; if the motor does not need to be replaced but rather repaired, we offer a motor repair service.
