Brief description

The 3D milling unit transforms your RUWI router table a free-form milling station. Using movable swivel supports, you can safely guide curved, contoured, and irregular workpieces along the cutter—the supports follow the contour instead of holding the workpiece in a rigid position. This allows you to machine shapes that cannot be milled with a fixed stop.

The unit comes with its own drive—1,050 watts, steel spindle with return thread, tool diameter Ø 43 mm, collet 8 mm. It is mounted on the side of the housing and can be retrofitted: You can install it in just a few simple steps using the factory-installed Schuko outlets and mounting points. As a “3D milling unit,” it is part of the GS certification (DGUV test) and wood dust testing for the RUWI router table. Compatible with the Basic, Classic, and Premium models.

Applications

  • Rout curved furniture parts, stair stringers, and free-form panels.
  • Re-rout complex template parts.
  • Process irregular wood shapes and curved solid wood edges.
  • Shapes that can't be guided with a fixed fence.
