The RUWI Classic Tabletop is the perforated panel for the RUWI lifting table Classic—available separately for woodworkers who already own a compatible base frame or are building their own workstation and only need the work surface. Multiplex with HPL coating on both sides, measuring 1,600 × 800 mm and extendable up to 2,200 × 800 mm via two front-mounted pull-out units continuously ; 128 chamfered holes (Ø 20 mm) in a 96-mm grid, side clamping profiles (2 × 80 cm), and a drawer directly beneath the tabletop. Manufactured in Germany, approx. 38 kg.

The HPL coating makes the panel scratch-resistant and moisture-resistant, balances out stresses so that it remains flat—and glue does not adhere to it: Cured residue flakes off, making the panel a clean surface for gluing.

Here's how to use it

  • Transporting long workpieces: With a 2,200 mm extended length, it can carry doors, stair stringers, and laminated wood planks along their entire length—during gluing, drilling, and sanding.
  • Upgrade your existing " base frame ": The Classic plate replaces a smaller or worn-out surface—screw set included.
  • Assembling Your Own Designs: On a homemade workbench, the tabletop becomes a fully functional clamping station complete with a grid, profiles, and storage space.
  • Clamp from above and from the edge: bolts and clamps in the grid, Bessey GTR and Festool FSZ in the side profiles—the workpiece is secured in both directions.
  • Clamping tools within easy reach: the built-in drawer keeps clamps, bolts, and support rails right at the table—not on a shelf.

Does this go with your base frame?

The tabletop fits on the RUWI lifting table -base frame and other compatible bases; the grid follows the 20-mm standard, so accessories from Festool MFT, Sauter Variobench, and other 20-mm tables are compatible. The complete table with hydraulics is available as theRUWI lifting table Classic; if the smaller size without the extension is sufficient, the Basic table top (1,200 × 800 mm) is the sleek choice, while the Premium table top is ideal for the fold-out double surface. The matching clamp is the Bessey GTR 160/60; accessories are available through the lifting table system.
