The idea behind it

The tabletop can also be mounted on lifting table from other manufacturers. Even on larger lifting tables, you can install the tabletop with a drawer across it—or even two side by side. This way, you’ll always have a drawer within easy reach on the side, along with a sturdy work surface.

Brief description

The RUWI —an HPL perforated panel with a drawer—is a flat work and clamping surface measuring 1,200 × 800 mm with 96 holes (Ø 20 mm)—the same panel as the Basic version, but here with a drawer and storage space directly below it. This way, you have clamping devices and tools right at your fingertips under the work surface, without having to look for them elsewhere.

Thehole grid on its accessories: you can attach clamping bolt, bench hooks, clamping brackets, and quick-release clamps to any grid position to hold workpieces exactly where you need them. If these parts are stored in the drawer, they’re immediately at hand when you need to reposition the workpiece. The panel is made of multiplex with an HPL coating on both sides—scratch-resistant, moisture-resistant, and tension-balanced thanks to the double-sided coating, ensuring it remains flat. Glue does not adhere to HPL, and cured residue flakes off: it is also suitable as a gluing surface. The 96-mm grid follows the established 20-mm standard, so accessories from Festool MFT, Sauter Variobench, or other 20-mm tables are compatible.

The panel sits on the RUWI lifting tablebase frame can also be mounted on frames from other manufacturers. On larger lifting tables, you can position it horizontally—even two side by side—so you always have a drawer on one side and a sturdy work surface at the same time. If you don’t need the storage space, the Basic perforated panel is available without a drawer; for long workpieces, there’s the extendable Classic panel.
