Abrasive belt carrier: Ø 15 mm, height 30 mm, shank 6 mm

The sanding belt holder is a slotted holder (Ø 15 mm) onto which you slide a sanding belt sleeve. You can use it to neatly sand small inside radii, drill holes, and cutouts—in places where a sanding block can’t reach. With the sleeve attached, you’ll be working with a diameter of about 18 mm; the smallest inner radius is approximately R9.

The slot is the key to its design: When rotated, the carrier expands slightly and clamps the sleeve from the inside—it fits securely without glue or screws, and can be removed and replaced while the unit is stationary. The “ shank ” (Ø 6 mm, steel with zinc-nickel coating, overall length 71 mm) works in any machine with a 6-mm-collet e and can handle up to 38,000 rpm—including the full speed of router table and a router.

Here's how to use it

• Smoothing Small Holes: Handle holes, cable openings, and hardware holes starting at Ø 18 mm are given smooth walls.
• Fine-tuning small parts: In model and furniture making, the slim support follows tight contours and cutouts.
• Changing the sleeve while the machine is running: remove the old one, slide on the new one, and continue grinding—switch from coarse to fine grit in seconds.

The shank requires a 6-mmcollet – the optional 6-mmcollet is available at RUWI router table ; hand-held routers accept it directly. The matching Ø 15 sanding belt sleeve is a wear part and not included—it’s available in grits 50, 80, and 150. For larger radii starting at about R16.5, use the Ø 30 sanding belt holder; additional tools are shown at RUWI under “Milling Tools.”
