Brief description

The sanding belt is the abrasive for the Ø 15 sanding belt holder—the sleeve that actually performs the grinding. You slide it onto the Ø 15 sanding belt holder; together, they are used to grind small internal radii, bores, and cutouts starting at approximately R9. Once the sleeve is worn out, you slide on a new one.

The belt consists of abrasive cloth wound in a spiral pattern onto a backing, with standard corundum as the abrasive grain. It is available in grits 50, 80, and 150—ranging from heavy-duty removal, deburring, chamfering, and finishing to finer surface grinding. It can be used to work on wood and wood-based materials as well as steel, aluminum, and plastic.

The band works best in the RUWI milling table because the speed can be adjusted there; the operator will need a 6-mm collet for this. The band height is 30 mm, which fits the operator.
