Accessories

The sanding belt is the abrasive for the Ø 15 sanding belt carrier—the sleeve that performs the grinding. You slide it onto the Ø 15 sanding belt carrier; together, they are used to sand small internal radii, drill holes, and cutouts starting at approximately R9. When the sleeve is worn out, you slide on a new one—the carrier remains in place.

The belt consists of abrasive cloth with standard corundum, wound spirally onto a backing fabric and reinforced—this keeps the sleeve in shape and extends its service life. When ordering, select the grit size: 50 for coarse removal, 80 for deburring and finishing, and 150 for a finer finish. You can use it to work on wood and wood-based materials as well as steel, aluminum, plastic, and rubber; the belt height is 30 mm, designed to fit the backing.

Here's how to use it

  • Smoothing small drill holes: Handle holes, cable passages, and hardware holes starting at Ø 18 mm are given a smooth finish—even in places where no other abrasive can reach.
  • Step by step to the surface: 50-grit removes saw marks, 80-grit deburrs and smooths, and 150-grit prepares the surface for the final finish—the same sleeve shape, three steps.
  • Replace the sleeve instead of buying a new tool: remove the old one, slide on the new one—the wear part is inexpensive, and the carrier keeps working.

Does this go with your top?

With an inner diameter of 15 mm and a height of 30 mm, the belt fits onto the Ø 15 sanding belt holder (item no. 30520). This combination works best with the RUWI router table , because the speed can be adjusted there; the carrier requires a 6-mmcollet for this. For larger radii starting at about R16.5, the system is available in the next size up: sanding belt and carrier Ø 30.
