Brief description
The sanding belt is the abrasive for the Ø 30 sanding belt holder—the sleeve that performs the grinding. You slide it onto the Ø 30 sanding belt holder; together, they are used to grind larger internal radii, bores, and cutouts starting at approximately R16.5. When the sleeve is worn out, you replace it with a new one.
The belt consists of abrasive cloth wound in a spiral onto a backing, with standard corundum as the abrasive grain. It is available in grits 50, 80, and 150—ranging from coarse removal to finer surface finishing. You can use it to work on wood and wood-based materials as well as aluminum, steel, and plastic.
The band works best in the RUWI milling table because the speed can be adjusted there; the operator will need a 6-mm collet for this. The band height is 30 mm, which fits the operator.
