The idea behind it

Large projects require a large work surface. When you want to set up a spacious workbench, compact solutions often aren’t enough. That’s why we rely on the XL-base frames. The battery-powered version even has a load capacity of 400 kg. For anyone who works with heavy workpieces on a daily basis, we wanted to provide added convenience: electric height adjustment via foot switch, so your hands stay free. The CAS battery system uses existing batteries from the workshop—without any additional investment.

The RUWI lifting table base frame 400 XL Akku is the electromechanical version of the XL series: Instead of pumping with your foot, you adjust the height using two foot switch – leaving your hands free. This allows you to lift loads of up to 400 kg continuously to working heights ranging from 69 to 103.5 cm (34.5 cm stroke).

The power tool operates cordlessly using 18-volt batteries from the CAS system (Cordless Alliance System)—compatible with batteries from Metabo, Mafell, Lamello, and other CAS partners. This way, you can use the batteries you already have in your workshop. If one runs out, just swap it out and keep working—no cords, no waiting for an outlet. The battery and charger are not included—you’ll need to purchase the compatible CAS battery and charger separately.

The welded square-tube frame measures 144 × 77 cm and features through-holes for securing the support. Four solid rubbercastors (Ø 125 mm) make the 116 kg unit mobile—two with brakes, two with directional locks for straight-line travel.

Here's how to use it

  • Adjusting under load: Place your foot on the switch, and the table moves electrically—both hands remain on the workpiece, even when 400 kg are resting on it.
  • Reuse batteries: The CAS slot accepts Metabo, Mafell, and Lamello batteries from your tool collection—power your tools without any additional investment.
  • Mount your own attachments: the neutral top surface with through-holes accommodates perforated panels, machine mounts, or custom-built attachments— base frame is the base; you determine the surface area.
  • Straight-line maneuvering: The two directional locks guide the table in a straight line through narrow aisles—the brakes hold it securely in place.

Does this fit in your workshop?

The base frame is a worthwhile investment for settings where frequent and heavy adjustments are required and CAS batteries are already in use. With a pre-assembled XL perforated grid plate, the complete table is available as theRUWI lifting table Classic 400 XL; the foot pump alternative that does not require a battery is the RUWI lifting table - base frame with a hydraulic system. The lifting table system offers matching plates and accessories.
