Brief description

The CAS battery is an 18-volt battery pack with a capacity of 5.5 Ah (99 Wh) that powers the RUWI Hubtisch 400 XL Akku —which is shipped without a battery. It is a LiHD lithium-ion battery from the CAS system (Cordless Alliance System) and is therefore also compatible with tools and chargers from Mafell, Lamello, Metabo, and other CAS partners.

It is charged using the ASC 55 charger: Its air-cooled charging technology dissipates heat during charging and protects the cells. When the battery is not in use, it loses very little charge—self-discharge is minimal, so it remains ready for use even after a long period of inactivity.
