The CAS battery is the 18-volt battery pack with a capacity of 5.5 Ah (99 Wh) that powers the RUWI lifting table 400 XL battery —the table is shipped without a battery. It is a LiHD lithium-ion battery from the CAS system (Cordless Alliance System) and is therefore also compatible with tools and chargers from Metabo, Mafell, Lamello, Prebena, and other CAS partners.

The housing is shock-resistant with a rubber frame—built for the workshop floor, not a drawer—and the capacity indicator shows how much charge remains at the push of a button. It takes about 110 minutes to fully charge the battery using the ASC 55 charger; the air-cooled charging technology (AIR COOLED) dissipates heat and protects the cells. When the battery is not in use, it loses hardly any charge—even after a long period of inactivity, it’s ready for use.

Here's how to use it

  • Powering the lifting table : Insert the battery into the CAS slot, and the table moves—with a second battery on standby, the height adjustment never stops.
  • One fleet, one battery: the same battery pack powers the Mafell saw, the Lamello router, and the Metabo tool—the power supply is shared throughout the entire workshop.
  • Check the charge level instead of guessing: Press the button, read the display—before your big gluing day, you'll know whether the spare battery needs to go on the charger.

Is this compatible with your devices?

The battery fits all 18-V tools in the CAS system. To charge it, you'll need a CAS charger—the ASC 55 is compatible; if you already own a CAS charger from Metabo or Mafell, you can continue to use it.
