The idea behind it

Large projects require a large work surface. If you want to set up a spacious workbench, the usual compact solutions often aren’t enough.
That’s why we rely on the XL-base frames as a sturdy base for all projects where load capacity and work surface area matter. Sometimes you don’t need complicated technology—just a solid, height-adjustable base at a fair price. We deliberately chose the hydraulic system—it’s proven, requires no electricity, and operates reliably for years. For us, it’s the ideal entry point into the XL class, without compromising on stability.

The RUWI Lifting Table Base Frame 300 XL is the go-to choice if you regularly need to lift heavy workpieces onto working height in your workshop. The welded scissor-type design made of square tubing can support up to 300 kg and adjusts from 43 to 103 cm using the hydraulic foot pump continuously —operable from both sides, with no power connection required.

The platform is deliberately designed to be neutral: pre-drilled mounts accommodate a user-supplied or purchased tabletop—a perforated panel, a clamping device, or a complete workstation. Four lockable, ball-bearing-mounted solid rubber castors (Ø 100 mm) make the 108 kg net weight mobile; the hydraulic system is repairable, and the foot pump is manufactured in Germany.

In a professional workshop, a height-adjustable workstation isn't just a convenience—it's essential for ensuring that even the twelfth cabinet of the day is built to a high standard.

Here's how to use it

  • Install your own attachments: Screw a perforated panel, clamping device, or custom attachment onto the pre-drilled mounting holes—the base frame becomes a workstation tailored to your needs.
  • Lifting heavy components onto working height : Lift cabinet bodies, doors, and machines using a foot pump instead of by hand—this keeps your back out of it and your hands on the workpiece.
  • Assembly, gluing, finishing: the height adjusts with each step—attach the trim at the bottom, install the hardware at the top, without bending over or using a step stool.
  • As a mobile workbench: Load the workpiece, release the casters, roll it up to the machine, lock the casters—it can move loads of up to 300 kg around the workshop.

Does this fit in your workshop?

The XL-base frame is the long version designed for doors, large cabinets, and entire machine assemblies; it is shipped as a self-assembly kit. You can find matching supports, clamps, and plates in the lifting table accessories section.

If you don't want to build it yourself, go with the RUWI Lifting Table Classic 300 XL —the same base frame but complete with a tabletop. If your workshop has limited space, the more compact base frame 300 will suffice; for a cordless pump instead of a foot pump, there's the base frame 400 XL Cordless.
