History, development and career
RUWI was founded in 2000 by Reiner Ruggaber. As a master carpenter, he developed a milling table to optimize the work processes in his own carpentry workshop.
The team has grown since then and the products have expanded. Due to the passion for developing new solutions, the range has grown and today consists of 10 different product groups in wood and metal processing with over 500 items. RUWI is located in the Black Forest and is based there with lean production. With regional suppliers and partner companies, only the final assembly of the products takes place in-house. RUWI is represented by various trading partners in different countries, with the focus on the German-speaking area.
Vision and mission
As the RUWI team, we want to develop the best solutions for woodworking. We want to improve the working conditions and work-flows for wood professionals (and those who want to become one) – and empower them to do an even better job.
We achieve our vision by developing and selling durable and innovative products to equip wood professionals with optimal tools.
Our drive
Together on the way, with irrepressible will and drive to find the best tools and solutions for everything to do with woodworking. Connected and committed to our values and beliefs, with reverent respect for the finest craft. Tradition and innovation in a passionate tension, imprinted with the humility never to believe that we already know everything.

Corporate culture and values
The working culture is characterized by fair and respectful treatment of all employees and partners. As the RUWI team, we enjoy our work and like to fight battles together. There is room for mistakes and mutual growth, paired with a dynamic speed of implementation.
Respect for the craft
Friendly to our industry, we maintain our network with dedication, generosity and gratitude. The solution lies in joint partnerships and teamwork.
Creative think tank
With curiosity and irrepressible will, we find new solutions and ways. If we can optimize a workflow and improve complicated processes with simple, mechanical solutions, then we not only create something for the customer, we also broaden our own horizons.
Family business
As an independent, privately owned family company, RUWI has grown steadily and based on values for over 20 years. Thanks to our agile corporate culture, we can react flexibly and curiously to different needs and develop freely.
Preserving
Wood is a wonderful material that represents a powerful ecosystem in its natural habitat. Consistently and resolutely, we only work with regional suppliers and rely on “Made in Germany”. Our high quality standards are reflected in the longevity of the products.
Together
Our suppliers, customers and partners are companions for us and we rely on long-term relationships. Appreciation, loyalty, crisis stability and honesty are expressed in these relationships.

We remain open and interested in new possibilities, solutions and products. Our focus remains on sleek simplicity.
