The " RUWI " Clamping System Starter Set is a complete modular system for tool-free work with Nut-8 profiles—for trade and industry. It allows you to connect profiles at right angles, secure them parallel to one another, and clamp components, stops, and workpieces—all without screws or tools. The parts are sorted into a Systainer (400 × 300 × 105 mm) with adjustable compartments: 8 quick-release clamps (Ø 20 mm), 2 clamping brackets with quick-release clamps, 4 “ eccentric clamp ” (Ø 20 mm), 4 adapter brackets each, and adapter plates in small and large sizes, as well as 4 stop screws. Instead of buying the parts individually, you have the entire foundation for your setups right at your fingertips.

At the heart of the system are the quick-release clamps: You insert them from above into the groove at any desired location, press them down against the spring force, rotate them 90 degrees, and flip the lever. As you do this, an eccentric pulls the hammer nut against the undercut of the profile groove and clamps the component securely with approximately 2.5 kN; You adjust the clamping height using the knurled ring; to release, simply follow the steps in reverse order. You can secure the “ adapter plates ” and adapter brackets with slotted holes in the desired position using the “ continuously ” clamps; the clamping brackets pull a resting profile tightly against its base, and the “ stop screws ” provide secure anchor points. Attach the eccentric clamp to a quick-release clamp that is secured in the groove and serves as a pivot axis: When you turn the eccentric clamp, the eccentric bore presses it against the workpiece and holds it firmly against a stop.

Here's how to use it

• Connecting profiles at an angle: With the clamping brackets, you can attach cross profiles in seconds and tighten them securely to the bottom profile with a single lever action, instead of screwing the brackets in place.
• Securing profiles in parallel: Use the adapter plates and two quick-release clamps each to connect parallel profiles tool-free and release them just as quickly.
• Clamping stops and components: Adapter brackets, stop screws , and quick-release clamps become stops, supports, and component holders that you position using the slotted holes continuously and can reposition in seconds for the next workpiece.
• Clamping workpieces laterally: Using the " eccentric clamp " and a quick-release clamp as the rotational axis, you can press workpieces continuously against a stop. This allows you to easily adjust to different workpiece widths simply by rotating the clamp, without having to reposition the setup.
• Working on the " clamping plate ": On drilling and milling machines, you position stop rails, machine vises, or " positioning angle " freely on the " clamping plate " and clamp them securely without using screws.
• Lean Workstations and Trade Show Construction: You can quickly set up workstations, organize materials, and assemble displays and presentation structures—and reconfigure or dismantle them just as quickly.
• Training and Continuing Education: At vocational schools and training workshops, trainees repeatedly assemble and disassemble structures without causing wear on the profiles and threads.
• Always organized and within reach: The adjustable compartment layout keeps every part in its place, the carrying handle makes the Systainer portable, and it can be connected to other Systainers—so you can take the set with you to any worksite and pack it all back up again afterward.

Does this fit your aluminum profile?

The set is designed for 8 mm grooves. The quick-release clamps—and thus also the “ adapter plates ” and adapter brackets—fit into Item, Item-compatible, and Bosch profiles, as well as other system profiles, grooved tables, and clamping plates with a groove width of 8 mm—the groove width is the only determining factor. Only for the clamping brackets must the profile into which the tab engages be an Item or Item-compatible profile from the 40 series.
