Class M on the Go: The S 25 M is the dust collector for assembly work—weighing 12.2 kg with a 25-liter container—and its power outlet with automatic start-up activates it along with your machine, regardless of the manufacturer. At the end of the workday, it vacuums up the construction site or workshop—and regulations require at least Class M for that as well.
The core legal requirement is the same as for its bigger brother: If the airflow drops—due to a full bag or a kinked hose—the device emits an audible warning. Only this specific feature is permitted on the handheld unit; a Class L device that merely displays the airflow does not meet the requirement—which is why we deliberately do not carry the L version. With 270 m³/h at 280 mbar, the 25 model has the same suction power as the 35 model; its filter cleans itself via automatic shaking—the older, robust technology; sensor-controlled cleaning is reserved for the S 35 M. And here, too, is the 58-mm connection that docks directly to the Erika’s under-counter fitting.
The fact that you’re buying the Mafell tool at RUWI isn’t a given: We’re the manufacturers ourselves—tools for woodworking professionals based in Fluorn-Winzeln, 4 kilometers from Mafell’s main factory in Oberndorf am Neckar. We carry products that we can recommend based on our own experience—and we’ll be honest with you: for a permanent workshop setup, the larger model is the clear choice.
Here's how to use it
- For installation: 12.2 kg, 25 l – Class M wherever work is being done.
- Automatic start: The outlet turns on the vacuum cleaner along with the machine—no need to worry about forgetting to press a button.
- Connecting the Erika at the customer's site: 58-mm connection directly to the under-counter fitting.
- Wet and dry vacuuming: 20-liter tank for wet vacuuming—perfect for everyday use on construction sites.
Does this fit in your workshop?
For a permanent workshop setup with daily grinding dust, the S 35 M is the clear choice: 10 liters more capacity, the sensor-controlled iPulse cleaning system that keeps the filter clear during continuous operation, and the large chassis with a parking brake. Mafell doesn’t offer a cordless vacuum—for setups without a power outlet, the Festool CTMC MIDI or Bosch GAS 18V-12 MC are the best options. And when it comes to stationary machines with large intake ports, every portable dust collector reaches its limit—that’s where a chip extraction system is needed.
