Rounding cutter R3 with thrust bearing

Brief description

The R3 rounding cutter rounds off wood edges with a 3-mm radius—cleanly and evenly. What makes it special is the ball bearing (Ø 12.7 mm) on the cutter head: It runs along the edge of the workpiece and guides the cutter even along curved and sweeping contours where a stop would not fit. This allows you to round off straight edges as well as curved shelf boards or decorative components.

The cutter is double-edged and carbide-tipped (HW), right-hand cutting, with an outer diameter of 19 mm and a cutting length of 10 mm. Its 8 mm shank fits in hand routers, bench routers, and the RUWI router table (8 mm collet) as well as on CNC machines. It cuts softwood and hardwood as well as laminated panels. If the ball bearing wears out, you can replace it—instead of replacing the entire router bit.
