The idea behind it

The idea for the safety system was born in my own workshop. As a carpenter, I often lacked the right tools to work on small workpieces without putting my hands in danger.

Brief description

Most accidents in the woodshop occur at the panel saw—almost always when cutting short, narrow, angled, or wedge-shaped workpieces. This inevitably requires the hand to get closer to the saw blade, and that is precisely where the danger lies. The DGUV specifies a safety target of 120 millimeters of clearance from the blade. It is often impossible to maintain this distance with just your bare hand on the workpiece.

The RUWI Premium Safety System for panel saws solves exactly this problem—and another one as well. You can clamp workpieces of any shape securely onto the sliding carriage without tools. Tested and certified with the DGUV seal. What makes the Premium version the top choice for professional shops: With two swivel clamps and two narrow auxiliary stops with screw-in holding tips, even long, warped planks of oak or beech can be trimmed on their own.

The auxiliary stops not only secure the workpiece with pressure but also grip it at specific points with their holding tips—ensuring that nothing slips, even under load. No tools required, ready to use in 10 seconds, with all parts within easy reach on the wall panel. The right choice for workshops handling a wide variety of workpieces, as well as for schools and training centers with high safety standards.

If you mainly cut small or narrow workpieces, the Classic model is often sufficient—you can always upgrade it later.
