Our tools and machines are built to last. We use only high-quality components and have gained extensive experience in preventing problems in the workshop. That’s why we have no issues with warranty claims—even if they extend beyond the 2-year warranty period. We’re always looking for a good solution that works for both of us.

We have 100% of our replacement parts in stock.

Cutting to length along a mark, starting right at the edge of the workpiece without first laying a guide rail: That’s the strength of the pendulum guard, and the K 55 cc is its lightest version—4.1 kg for demolition, renovation, scaffolding, and overhead work. When precision is required, place it on the F guide rail.

It cuts 58 mm deep when used freely and 52 mm deep on the rail—we’re giving you both figures because the rail measurement is the one you’ll use for planning. The FLIPPKEIL stays on the machine: The splitting wedge prevents kickback and folds away for the initial cut instead of being removed—and it’s back in place immediately after the cut.

Buying the Mafell saw at RUWI isn’t something you should take for granted: We’re manufacturers ourselves—tools for woodworking professionals from Fluorn-Winzeln, 4 kilometers from the Mafell factory in Oberndorf am Neckar. We carry only what we can recommend from our own experience—and on every page, we’ll tell you when the next step up is the better choice.

Here's how to use it

  • Cut to length along the score line: position the blade and cut—without a guide, directly along the edge.
  • Overhead and on the scaffolding: 4.1 kg—the lightest chain saw in the lineup.
  • Making insertion cuts: Fold out the FLIPPKEIL, insert it, then fold it back—the anti-kickback device stays in place.
  • Guide rail: Guide rail F for straight panel cuts, with a depth of 52 mm.

Does this fit in your workshop?

For cuts over 58 mm, the K 65 cc takes over at 67 mm. If your cuts are already running along the rail—whether they’re low-dust or starting in the middle of the surface—the MT 55 cc plunge saw is the better choice. Cross-cut series are KSS work, and if budget is a factor, the MS 55 is honestly the way to go. Festool’s counterpart is the HK 55 with a 55 mm depth—if you rely on the FS rail system, you’ll feel right at home there; the K 55 cc offers 3 mm more depth and the open F-rail.

You can read about why your vacuum should be Dust Class M in the knowledge article on wood dust extraction —and the Machine Advisor will help you find the right saw by asking you two or three questions.
