Our tools and machines are built to last. We use only high-quality components and have gained extensive experience in preventing problems in the workshop. That’s why we have no issues with warranty claims—even if they extend beyond the 2-year warranty period. We’re always looking for a good solution that works for both of us.

We have 100% of our replacement parts in stock.

Demolition and remodeling are its forte: cutting out old frames, cutting slats and pipes, cutting openings, and dismantling existing structures. The reciprocating saw is the tool for rough cutting work on buildings—and the RS 32-18 offers two features not typically found in this class of tools: an attachable dust extraction port that collects dust and chips directly at the blade, and the dust-tight housing typical of Mafell.

The brushless motor delivers 0 to 3,000 strokes continuously via the throttle switch, with a stroke length of 32 mm, plus a six-step adjustment dial—the user manual specifies: levels 1–3 for metal and plastic, 4–6 for wood and building materials. It cuts wood up to 300 mm and metal tubing up to 150 mm, with a switchable pendulum action for fast progress. The universal blade holder accommodates the blade even when rotated 180°—for flush cuts and overhead work. The battery is CAS: compatible with Mafell, Metabo, Lamello, and Prebena; not compatible with Festool or Bosch.

Buying the Mafell saw at RUWI isn’t something you should take for granted: We’re manufacturers ourselves—tools for woodworking professionals based in Fluorn-Winzeln, 4 kilometers from the Mafell factory in Oberndorf am Neckar. We carry only what we can recommend from our own experience—and below, we’ll even quote the warranty clause that no one else bothers to mention.

Here's how to use it

  • Dismantling existing structures: frames, slats, pipes—wood up to 300 mm, metal pipes up to 150 mm.
  • Low-dust cutting: The dust extraction port collects the chips from the blade—the Velcro strap secures the hose under the machine.
  • Flat and overhead cutting: Insert the blade rotated 180°—the LED with afterglow function will continue to glow.
  • Choose the right blade for the material: from precision wood blades to carbide blades for metal, to hollow-core bricks and 400-series insulation blades.

Does this fit in your workshop?

According to the owner’s manual, the reciprocating saw is designed for rough cutting and demolition work—precision is not its forte: Clean cutouts are the domain of the jigsaw, repeatable crosscuts are handled by the KSS series, and plunge cuts are only permitted in soft materials. And here are two points from the operating instructions that we don’t want to keep from you: It is not approved for continuous industrial use—and for applications involving excessive wear, such as pallet construction and repair, warranty coverage is limited. If you disassemble pallets on a daily basis, please talk to us first.

You can read about why your vacuum should be Dust Class M in the knowledge article on wood dust extraction —and the Machine Advisor will help you find the right saw by asking you two or three questions.
