The K 65 18M bl cuts to a depth of 67 mm and weighs 4.4 kg—just 100 grams more than the K 55, with 9 mm more cutting depth. For those who regularly work at the 58-mm limit, this model provides the extra leeway without sacrificing maneuverability.
You can adjust the speed to one of six settings depending on the material; the FLIPPKEIL folds away and back for plunge cuts. Wood-fiber insulation materials are explicitly listed in the intended use (operator’s manual). And here’s an important detail about blade selection: The standard Z 16 blade is designed for rip cuts—the KSS 60, on the other hand, comes with a cross-cut blade. The battery is CAS: one for Mafell, Metabo, Lamello, and Prebena; not compatible with Festool or Bosch.
