Accessories

The Bessey GTR 160/60 is an all-steel bench clamp for guide rails and perforated tables—a Bessey clamp that we carry because it fits into the RUWI system like a custom part. It features a 160 mm clamping width, a 60 mm reach, and up to 1,800 N clamping force s (manufacturer’s specification); the wooden handle fits comfortably in the hand, and the trapezoidal thread turns smoothly. All-steel construction, bright-zinc-plated.

The forged fixed bracket fits into all standard guide rails measuring 12 × 8 mm slot. It also works seamlessly with the RUWI system: in the side clamping profiles of the lifting tables, as well as on table extensions and support rails. For the RUWI HPL perforated panels, simply thread the slim rail (13.5 × 6.5 mm) directly through the 20-mm holes—this allows you to secure the rail right in the middle of the surface, not just at the edge.

Here's how to use it

  • Clamping in the middle of the panel: With the rail threaded through the 20-mm hole, the clamp grips where traditional edge clamps can’t reach—under the gluing surface instead of next to it.
  • Secure the guide rail: The clamping bracket fits into the 12 × 8-slot s of Festool, Makita, and Metabo rails—the rail is secured for the cut without tape or a counterhold.
  • Clamping on the side of the table: The GTR holds workpieces by their edges using the clamping profiles from RUWI lifting tables and the end caps from support rails —the 60 mm overhang extends close to the table surface.
  • Tighten gradually: the wooden handle transmits force precisely—from gently securing veneered parts to the full 1,800 N.

Does this work with your system?

The GTR fits into all systems with a 12 × 8 mm grid ( slot ) and into any 20 mm grid (hole grid )—it is the recommended clamping device for theRUWI table top with an HPL perforated grid plate, the milling tables with a side grid ( slot ), and the support rail with cover caps. For the Ø-28 and Ø-16 grids of the welding tables , the Bessey TW 16 with an adapter disc is intended instead.
