Accessories

A Bessey screw clamp, combined with an adapter disc and a “ clamping bolt ” developed in-house by RUWI. The Bessey TW 16 features a 200 mm clamping width and a 100 mm reach—a classic among professional clamps that has been in use in German workshops for decades. What makes it the “ welding table ” clamp is the mounting socket on the underside; when ordering, select the clamping bolt that matches the grid: Ø 16 or Ø 28 mm.

The 60-mm-diameter adapter disc rests on the table plate and distributes the clamping force over a large area—this protects the drill hole and ensures the clamp sits securely without tilting. It is tightened with half a turn of the hex key—no need to press down or retighten. The clamp rail measures 22 × 8.5 mm, and the handle has a two-component plastic coating.

Here's how to use it

  • Holding components in place during welding: The TW 16’s “ clamping force ” feature keeps components in place even when thermal distortion occurs—the weld bead runs through without the part shifting.
  • Clamping and Alignment: Adjust, align, and spot-weld steel parts—the clamp grips at every grid hole, even in the middle of the plate where there is no table edge.
  • Bench Grinding and Drilling: Assembly and machining operations with a securely clamped workpiece—the 100 mm overhang extends beyond profiles and sheet metal.
  • Clamping in series: half a turn of the Allen wrench to tighten and loosen—faster than any traditional clamp on the table edge.

Does this go with your welding table?

The 28 mm diameter version fits into the hole grid of RUWI welding tables and other 28-mm systems, while the Ø 16 mm version fits classic welding tables with a 16-mm grid. For wooden tables with 20-mmhole grid – RUWI lifting tables , Festool MFT – the same combination is available as the TW 16 clamp with clamping bolt Ø 20 mm.
