RUWI and Aigner
Let’s join forces. To make the workshop even better.
Brief description
When working with long or large workpieces, there’s often not enough support. The workpiece tips over, and the cut becomes inaccurate—which can also be dangerous when using a band saw or table router. That’s exactly where the AIGNER table extension comes in, providing additional support and ensuring the workpiece is guided all the way through.
The work surface measures 1,100 × 172 mm and is made of anodized aluminum. Beneath it is a foldable, height-adjustable leg that locks into place automatically when unfolded; you can adjust the working height from 755 to 1,000 mm so that it sits flush with your machine table. The extension is secured without tools using a clamping lever over the mounting rail—and can be removed just as quickly.
It fits band saws, table routers, circular saws, planers, automatic planers, or belt sanders—anywhere the machine table is too short. This allows you to guide even long workpieces with precision, without needing a second person at the machine. AIGNER manufactures this safety equipment in Germany.
If you also need a stop for cutting to length or a backstop for mortising, choose the AIGNER table extension with crosscut stop. To create a continuous work surface, connect a second extension behind it using the AIGNER connecting bar. You can find more tools from our partner in the AIGNER collection.
Possible applications
- Machining long profile strips on a table router – additional support if the router table is not sufficient
- Cutting large panels on a sliding table saw when wide pieces do not rest completely on the table
- Use a planer or jointer to joint and plane long workpieces
- As a mounting platform for fixtures and jigs—such as the AIGNER Kreisfix on the band saw
- Guide long workpieces on their own instead of supporting them by hand
