Brief description

The chamfer router bit creates a 45° chamfer on edges – for breaking sharp edges and clean chamfering of solid wood, wood-based materials, and coated panels. Instead of brazed cutting edges, it uses two carbide indexable inserts (12 × 12 mm): if an edge gets dull, you rotate the square insert – it offers four usable cutting edges before you need to replace it.

With an outer diameter of 32 mm and a cutting length of 12 mm, it can cut even wider chamfers in a single pass. The guide ball bearing (16 mm diameter) guides the router bit along an edge or template. The 8 mm shank is shank hand-held routers, bench routers, the RUWI router table CNC machines; it is designed for right-hand rotation.

The large 32-mm head provides high cutting speed and a clean chamfer finish on straight and wide contours. It is too large for tight inside corners and small radii—for those, use the RUWI with a Ø 5 mm guide ring. You can find additional cutters in the RUWI .
