Mafell ERIKA 60 Underfloor Pull Saw

The Erika 60 is the saw for those who carry it to the job site themselves: 22.2 kg, 61 mm cutting height, 215 mm stroke length, 1,300 W. It comes in a box, without a base frame. The principle is the same as with its bigger models: The workpiece is secured in place, the saw unit is pulled under the table, and once locked in place at the rear, it cuts like a table saw. It can make crosscuts, rip cuts, and bevel cuts up to 47° in solid wood, panel materials, hardwood flooring and laminate, aluminum profiles, and plastic.

The riving knife can be lowered for concealed cuts such as slots and grooves; two scales indicate the cutting depth—one for the riving knife in its normal position and one for when it is lowered. All controls are located at the front. After a power outage, the saw does not restart on its own; the dust chute directs sawdust to the rear.

Here's how to use it

• Weight for assembly only: 22.2 kg. It stands 300 mm off the floor working height; with the stationary mounting kit (203153, available upon request), it stands 847 mm off the floor.
• Standard cutting lengths: 215 mm cutting length for 12 mm material thickness; less for thicker material. Swivel range: –2° to 47°; at 45°, the cutting height is 39 mm.
• Vacuum System: A vacuum hose with two connectors is included. The reason why wood dust should be classified as dust class M is explained in the informational article on wood dust extraction.

Does this fit in your workshop?

The 60 has a fixed speed of 5,500 min⁻¹. If you want to reduce the speed for working with plastic and aluminum profiles, or if you need more than 61 mm, choose the Erika 70 or Erika 85. And the key question to ask before buying accessories: The 60 has its own line of accessories. Sliding carriage 201320, extension table 208437 with guide rails 201309 (650 mm) or 201310 (840 mm), stop ruler 201331, bar holder 207548—all available upon request. Accessories for the 70 and 85 models are not compatible; our “ RUWI ” (table extension ) is also designed for the 70 and 85 models. Blades for the 60: 190 mm Z 36 universal is included; 180 mm Z 30 universal (092511) and 180 mm Z 56 chamfered for laminate (092527) are available upon request.
