RUWI Aigner
Joining forces to make the workshop better.
Brief description
The AIGNER Contermax is a cross-clamping jig for a task that often comes up in many workshops: milling profiles and counter-profiles cleanly on the end grain. That's exactly where it gets tricky – you're milling across the grain, the workpiece is often narrow, and freehand, you quickly lose control.
The Contermax guides the workpiece smoothly and safely past the cutter. You screw a splinter block onto the continuously slide rail and clamp the workpiece in front of it; the splinter block supports the exit edge and ensures tear-free results. You can loosen and tighten the clamp tool-free using the rotary knob tool-free making workpiece changes quick, even during production runs.
The long, plastic-coated aluminium handle keeps your hand away from the tool and gives you more control. The main body is made of anodised aluminium, 420 mm long with a 200 mm clamping length, and offers clearance for protruding tools. AIGNER manufactures this safety equipment in Germany.
