Roundover bit R5 with guide bearing

The RUWI R5 roundover bit rounds off wood edges with a 5-mm radius—creating a smooth, even curve that strikes a balance between an all-around finish and a subtle edge. The lead-in ball bearing (Ø 12.7 mm) runs along the edge of the workpiece and guides the cutter even along curved contours for which no fence fits.

The router bit is double-edged and carbide-tipped (HW, Z2), right-hand rotation, with a diameter of 23 mm tool diameter and 10 mm working length; shank with a diameter of 8 mm, overall length 56 mm. It cuts softwood, hardwood, and laminated panels. If the ball bearing wears out, you can replace it—instead of replacing the entire router bit.

• Rounding off shelves and insert shelves: the 5-radius softens the sharpness of visible edges without overwhelming the front.
• Decorative components and curved parts: The guide bearing follows the curve—the fence remains folded away.
• Freehand use with a router: With its 23 mm diameter head, the R5 runs smoothly even when guided by hand—for trimming edges on assembled furniture.
• Batch processing on the table: On the router table, you guide the workpiece past the stationary milling cutter—edge by edge, with the same profile.
