Sanding Belt, 30 mm diameter, for sanding belt holders

The sanding belt is the abrasive for the Ø 30 sanding belt carrier—the sleeve that performs the grinding. You slide it onto the Ø 30 sanding belt carrier; together, they are used to sand larger inside radii, drill holes, and cutouts starting at approximately R16.5. When the sleeve is worn out, you slide on a new one—the carrier remains in place.

The belt consists of abrasive cloth with standard corundum, wound in a spiral onto a backing fabric—this keeps the sleeve in shape and extends its service life. When ordering, select the grit size: 50 for rough removal, 80 for intermediate sanding, and 150 for a finer finish. You can use it to work on wood and wood-based materials as well as aluminum, steel, plastic, and rubber.

Here's how to use it

• Finishing cutouts: Smooth out the sawed-out openings for sinks, electrical outlets, and handles all the way to the curves—where an orbital sander can’t reach.
• Step by step to a smooth surface: 50-grit removes saw marks, 80-grit smooths, and 150-grit prepares the surface for the final finish—the same sleeve shape, three steps.
• Deburring Metal Edges: Standard corundum can also be used to grind steel and aluminum—leaving holes and cutouts in hardware burr-free.
• Replace the sleeve instead of buying a new tool: remove the old one, slide on the new one—the wear part is inexpensive, and the carrier keeps working.

Does this go with your top?

With an inner diameter of 30 mm and a height of 30 mm, the belt fits onto the Ø 30 belt carrier. This combination works best in the RUWI router table , because the speed can be adjusted there; the carrier requires a 6-mmcollet for this. For smaller radii starting at R9, the system is available in a smaller size: belt and carrier Ø 15. The compatible tables are shown in the RUWI router tables.
