Accessories

The RUWI support rails set consists of two 120-cm-long aluminum rails (40 × 40 mm profile) with a non-slip surface for the 20-mmhole grid. The non-slip surface holds workpieces in place through friction—securely enough for sanding and edge finishing without the need for additional clamping. Four clamping brackets with stainless steelclamping bolt and clamping lever secure the rails tool-free at any grid position.

The Multiplex base can also be used as a sawing surface: If the circular saw is positioned even slightly too low, the cut will score the base instead of the table surface. The open steel end caps keep the profile groove clear for rail clamps such as the Bessey GTR or Festool FSZ.

Here's how to use it

  • Sanding without a clamp: The workpiece rests on the sanding pad and stays in place due to friction—simply flip it over and continue sanding without having to re-clamp it.
  • Support or stop: Two parallel rails support the panel; when positioned crosswise, they form the reference edge—for example, when gluing frames.
  • Beyond the edge: extended rails support long workpieces—once removed after use, the table returns to its original dimensions.
  • Clamping to the rail: Clamps in the end caps hold workpieces vertically or horizontally against the rail.

Does this go with your table?

The set fits on any table with a 20-mm standard top— RUWI , Festool MFT, and Sauter Variobench. If the surface wears out, simply replace it with a replacement surface —the rails remain in place. Additional accessories are available through the lifting table system.
