RUWI table extension for mounting rail

The RUWI table extension for the mounting rail provides long workpieces on drilling and milling tables with the support that the table alone cannot offer—doors, furniture panels, or stair stringers rest securely on it instead of tipping over the edge. You hang it tool-free into the mounting rail ; two lengths are available.

The work surface is made of anodized aluminum (150 mm wide), and the mounting bracket is made of galvanized steel. The foldable support leg can be adjusted tool-free from 66 to 106 cm, so that the extension sits flush with the table surface. The work surface features three T-slots s (8 mm): You can use these to clamp clamps—such as the Bessey GTR—or stops directly onto the extension.

When you're done working, you fold up the foot and hang the extension on the wall—it takes up hardly any space.

Here's how to use it

• Supporting long workpieces: Doors, furniture panels, and stair stringers no longer hang unsupported over the edge of the table—you can drill and rout instead of having to hold them in place.
• Adjust to be flush with the surface: Adjust the height of the tool-free between 66 and 106 cm—the workpiece slides from the table onto the extension without a step.
• Setting stops and clamps: Use the three T-slots s to clamp Bessey GTR clamps or stops directly onto the extension—for recurring positions far beyond the edge of the table.
• Chain the surface: Connect several extensions in a row until the support matches the length of the workpiece.
• Make room: Fold the foot in, hang it on the wall—the extension is there only when you need it.

The extension attaches to the RUWI mounting rail . The drilling table Premium comes with three rails as standard; you can retrofit other RUWI drilling tables using the mounting adapter, RUWI router tables using the mounting kit. On stationary machines, you can attach the mounting rail (330, 430, or 530 mm); on Festool MFT, Sauter Variobench, and other multifunction tables, it attaches via the mounting adapter.

Regarding length selection: Short (about 77 cm) is sufficient for moderate overhangs and remains more manageable; Long (about 104 cm) is suitable when the table extends significantly beyond the edge of the table—height adjustment, slots , and mounting are the same for both.
