The support rails your workpiece in place as if it were glued down. Open sides make clamping with screw clamps easy. Thanks to our proprietary clamping technology, the support rails can be attached quicklytool-free , and can even extend the width of the table and work surface.

Brief description

The RUWI support rail a 40 × 40 mm aluminum profile with a non-slip surface and two clamping brackets withclamping bolt 20 mm)—available in lengths of 80 or 120 cm. Thanks tool-free the tool-free clamping lever , it clamping lever in seconds on any perforated table with 20-mm holes:lifting table RUWI lifting table, Festool MFT, Sauter Variobench, or your homemade workbench.

It serves three purposes at once. Workpiece support: The non-slip surface holds boards and panels in place through friction, so that sanding or edge finishing can often be done without additional clamps. Stop: Positioned parallel to the workpiece edge, it provides a fixed reference for repeatable, precise cuts—lengths, angles, and miters. table extension: When extended beyond the table edge, the support surface for doors, cabinet sides, or planks becomes significantly larger. The 12-mm-thick support base also turns the rail into a sawing surface—if you set the cutting depth of your circular saw a little too deep, the saw blade has room to move downward without cutting into the table.

The open steel caps at the ends of the rails allow you to insert and secure clamps both vertically and horizontally—compatible with Festool FSZ, Bessey GTR, and similar rail clamps. For most jobs, you’ll need two rails so the workpiece is supported on both sides; for long planks or panels, four are recommended. A set of two rails is also available. The ideal base for this is the RUWI lifting tables; you’ll find additional clamping devices and clamping brackets in lifting table.

Applications

Workpiece support for sawing, routing, and sanding – the anti-slip coating holds the material securely, often without an additional clamp when sanding.
Stop with a fixed edge for repeatable operations – lengths, angles, miters
table extension the edge of the table—safely rest doors, stair treads, cabinet sides, or planks on it
