Accessories

The Bessey TW 16 screw clamp, with a 200 mm clamping width and 100 mm reach, is the powerful clamping element for the 20-mm hole grid. Using the adapter disc (Ø 60 mm) mounted by RUWI with a clamping bolt Ø 20 mm, you can secure it in any 20-mm hole: A half-turn with the Allen wrench secures the disc firmly in the table, and then the clamp holds your workpiece down from above.

The TW 16 clamps with up to 3,000 N (according to Bessey) — significantly more than tool-free lever clamps. The real advantage over a standard screw clamp is its positioning: You can anchor it at any grid hole, even in the middle of the board, where a conventional clamp cannot reach due to its overhang. The adapter washer distributes the pressure and protects the hole edges and surface.

Here's how to use it

  • Straightening warped boards: anchor them in the center of the board and press down with full force—the 3,000 N of force is more than lever clamps can handle.
  • Gluing and assembly: Apply pressure exactly where the glue joint is located—regardless of the table edge.
  • Clamping tall workpieces: The 200-mm clamping width accommodates even thick assemblies and shims, and the 100-mm overhang extends beyond the edge.
  • Quick to do: Loosen by half a turn, move to the next hole, tighten by half a turn—the clamping point moves along with the glue sequence.

Does this go with your table?

The clamping bolt fits into any 20-mm hole grid – any RUWI lifting table, Festool MFT, Sauter Variobench, and homemade workbenches. For welding tables and other grid sizes, the same clamp is available with clamping bolt Ø 16 or Ø 28 mm.

If you need it to be faster and tool-free and can get by with less effort, the vertical toggle clamp and horizontal toggle clamp are the alternatives—flip a lever instead of screwing.
