The AIGNER table extension with crosscut fence extends your machine table and gives you greater safety and control during slot milling: The anodized aluminum support (1,100 × 172 mm) accommodates long workpieces, while the adjustable crosscut fence (400 mm, painted beech multiplex) defines the starting and ending points and acts as a kickback guard when the tool is immersed in the workpiece. AIGNER manufactures this safety equipment in Germany.

You can slide the cross stop continuously, swivel it up to 90°, and remove it completely if needed—this allows you to use the extension sometimes with the stop for guided work and other times simply as a support. The fold-out support leg locks into place automatically when unfolded; you can adjust the height continuously from 755 to 1,000 mm so it’s flush with the surface, and it’s secured tool-free via clamping lever to the mounting rail.

Here's how to use it

  • Insert milling with a defined entry point: The cross stop determines the entry point—the workpiece engages the rotating tool in a controlled manner, and the stop absorbs the recoil.
  • Repeatable milling: approach the same reference position multiple times without having to mark it again—this ensures that mass-produced parts have identical milling pockets.
  • Converts in seconds: Remove the stop, and the extension functions as a simple support—you can guide long workpieces on your own, without needing a second person.

Will this fit your machine?

The extension can be mounted using the mounting rail on any machine where the table is too short. Without a crosscut fence, the AIGNER table extension is available as a standalone unit; for a continuous support surface, the AIGNER connecting bar attaches a second one behind it, and the removed crosscut fence can be stored on the optional hanger.
