When you’re machining long or large workpieces, you often lack the necessary support: The workpiece tips over, and the machining becomes imprecise—which can also be dangerous when using a band saw or table router. That’s exactly where the AIGNER table extension provides additional support and ensures continuous guidance for the workpiece; AIGNER manufactures this safety technology in Germany.

The printing plate (1,100 × 172 mm, anodized aluminum) rests on a folding stand that locks into place automatically when unfolded; you can adjust the “ working height ” to a height of 755 to 1,000 mm ( continuously ) so that it sits flush with your machine table. The “ tool-free ” is secured using a clamping lever via the “ mounting rail ”—and can be removed just as quickly.

Here's how to use it

  • Feeding long pieces on your own: profile strips on the router, long planks on the automatic planer—the extension replaces the second person who would otherwise be there to support the piece.
  • Cutting wide boards: On the sliding table saw , even wide pieces rest completely on the table instead of tipping over the back of it.
  • From machine to machine: Cutting and shaping clamping lever —the band saw, table router, circular saw, planer, and belt sander all share an extension.
  • To use as a platform: Stops and fixtures such as the AIGNER Kreisfix rest on the support surface.

Will this fit your machine?

The extension can be mounted using the mounting rail on any machine where the table is too short—even over the RUWI mounting rail. If you also need a stop for cutting to length or a kickback guard for plunge routing, choose the version with a crosscut fence; for a continuous support surface, the AIGNER connecting bar allows you to attach a second extension behind it.
