RUWI and Aigner
Let’s join forces. To make the workshop even better.
Brief description
When you're cutting shapes or contours on a circular saw, the process is often cumbersome: mark the line, align it on the sliding carriage, hold it in place, cut—and, if necessary, make adjustments. This is exactly where the AIGNER Sägeboy ensures a clean and repeatable workflow
The Sägeboy attaches quickly and easily to the rip fence of the circular saw. When used with a template or tracing guide, it allows you to cut shaped parts with consistent accuracy in a single pass. Even protruding edges can be cut flush.
Adjust the guide rail to the correct height. Depending on the angle of the Sawboy’s edge relative to the saw blade, cut the new piece flush with the template or with a deliberate overhang for finishing by routing or sanding. The height is adjusted using the T-handle, knurled nut, and measurement scale on the guide rail.
This way, you can cut shaped pieces not only cleanly but also consistently—right at the circular saw instead of in multiple steps.
Possible applications
- Pre-shaping workpieces, such as balcony boards, using a template for further processing on the router
-
Trim any excess material cleanly to size directly on the circular saw after gluing solid wood edges in place
-
Make crosscuts on workpieces directly on the circular saw without using an additional extension board on the rip fence
-
Use a fine-tooth saw blade to cut off any excess veneer, HPL, or other coatings so they are flush with the edge, or prepare them with a slight recess for subsequent processing
