Where did your workshop journey begin?

Our story started in 1928 when Rudolf Schwarzwälder opened his carpentry shop in Königsfeld-Burgberg. What began with a passion for craftsmanship and local roots has evolved over several generations into a modern family business. After our father passed away in 2020, Tom and I (Nico) took over the company's leadership. However, our enthusiasm for craftsmanship has been with us since childhood, when we regularly helped out in the workshop.

How and why did your company evolve?

Our workshop's development has always been driven by the ambition to combine tradition with innovation. Each generation has continued, modernized, and expanded the business: from new workshop buildings and a modern paint shop to sustainable energy systems like photovoltaics and geothermal energy, plus the digital transfer of CAD data to CNC-controlled machines. These investments were essential to respond to technical, ecological, and organizational demands while securing our future viability.

What's your workshop's focus? What principles guide your company?

We're passionate about individual craftsmanship at the highest level, from stylish furniture and interior fittings to custom-made kitchens, unique object furnishings, and precise series production for industry. Clear principles are important to us here: quality and precision in our work, customer proximity and transparency in the process, responsibility for the environment and resources, and fostering expertise and young talent. We see ourselves as the interface between traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.

We want to convey the enthusiasm for wood as a material: wood is vibrant, versatile, and sustainable. Success happens when you combine passion with craftsmanship, a joy for innovation, and a sense of responsibility.
