Brief description
The RUWI quick-release clamp (Ø 20 mm) secures workpieces, stops, and guide elements in the 10 mm groove of aluminum profiles without the need for tools. Instead of tightening a nut with an Allen key, simply flip the eccentric lever—it locks in place in seconds and releases just as quickly.
When you flip the lever, an eccentric mechanism pulls the slotted nut upward and locks it securely into the groove. This allows you to apply a clamping force of approximately 2.5 kN with minimal effort. You can adjust the clamping range from 0 to 8 mm to match the height of your workpiece; with a total height of 44 mm, the clamp lies flat.
The groove nut is available for Item and Bosch profiles—both have differently shaped grooves despite having the same groove width, which is why there are separate versions. You can find other groove widths and the screw-on version with an external thread in the quick-release overview.
Possible applications
- Secure workpieces, stops, and guide elements in Nut-10 profiles without tools—simply flip a lever instead of using screws
- Equipment and machinery construction: assembling and relocating modular structures in seconds
- Mechanical Engineering and Prototyping: Frequent changes to assemblies without setup tools
- Can be combined with clamping brackets and stops to create fixed clamping points
- Compatible with Item and Bosch 10-mm slots—it’s the slot shape that matters, not just the width
