Accessories

One tool for everything the day brings: pre-drilling in solid wood, construction screws, assembly, and the job site. The A 18 is the 18-V drill/driver: 65 Nm soft, 130 Nm hard, 10 + 1 torque settings, two speed ranges from 0 to 560 and 0 to 1,960 min⁻¹, drilling capacity of 68 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel. The 65 Nm pulse function helps with stuck screws and when drilling into smooth surfaces.

The reason to buy it as a system is the 43 mm diameter collet: It fits into all Mafell BST drill stands, allowing you to drill with guidance instead of freehand. Two spirit levels indicate 90°, horizontal, and vertical. The electronic anti-kickback function shuts off the motor if the machine suddenly twists, protecting your wrist. Four magnetic bit holders are located on the battery mount; bits fit directly into the 1/4-inch spindle, and LED lights with afterglow illuminate the work area. The PowerTanks monitor the charge level and temperature of each cell.

Here's how to use it

  • Everything you need for everyday use: The A-SBF 13 quick-change drill chuck and A-SBH bit holder are included, and they can be changed without tools.
  • Helical drill bit in a beam: up to 68 mm in wood, using the included auxiliary handle, first gear, anti-kickback feature remains activated.
  • Guided drilling: Clamp the collet into a BST 320, 460, 460 S, or 650 S drilling station; available upon request.
  • Batteries: PowerTank 18 M 72 and 18 M 99, as well as the APS M charger, are included. CAS means: one battery for machines, battery packs, and chargers from all partner brands.

Does this fit in your workshop?

13 mm in steel is the limit. For hardware and tight-fitting cabinets, the A 12 with angle attachment is the lighter machine. The A 18 is also available as the PURE model without a battery or charger (91C802); the ASB 18 hammer drill model for anchors in brick and concrete is available upon request. T-MAX case.
