RUWI and Aigner

Let's join forces. To make the workshop better.

Some tools aren’t made by us—but by family-run businesses with which we’ve developed a genuine bond over the years. Innovators. Trustworthy companies. Artisans with a rich heritage. We use the tools they make ourselves. Now you can find them here, too.

When you’re cutting shapes or contours on a circular saw, the process is often cumbersome: marking the line, aligning it on the sliding carriage, holding it in place, cutting, and making adjustments if necessary. The AIGNER Sägeboy takes this tedious process off your hands: tool-free When attached to the rip fence, you can use a template or tracing guide to cut shaped parts to exact measurements with repeatable precision in a single pass—and trim any protruding edges flush.

The anodized aluminum guide rail (Universal: 940 mm) provides a stable support for the workpiece along its entire length. You can adjust the height using the T-handle and knurled nut, and later find it again using the “ scale ” without having to measure it again. Depending on how the edge is positioned relative to the saw blade, you can cut flush with the guide or leave a deliberate overhang for milling or sanding.

Here's how to use it

  • Molded parts based on a template: Pre-cutting balcony boards and contoured parts—the template runs along the ruler, and the part is fed into the router ready for cutting.
  • Trimming edge overhangs: Cut glued-on solid wood edges to size directly on the circular saw—without having to go through the router first.
  • Cutting coatings flush: Cut veneer and HPL overhangs flush with the edge using a fine-tooth blade, or with a slight setback to allow for finishing.
  • Chamfering without a faceplate: Chamfer cuts made directly against the rip fence, without any additional setup.

Does this fit your saw?

When ordering, select the model based on your saw’s rip fence system: Universal for standard parallel rip fences (threaded hole with knurled screw; secured to thin-walled fences with a nut), Altendorf / Format 4 for Altendorf, Felder, and Format 4 rip fences (rear clamping), and Martin for Martin rip fences (also rear clamping). Instructions for use are included; additional safety and guidance accessories are available in the AIGNER collection.
