Here's what's included
• 1 x toggle clamp, Ø 30 mm
Which clamp holds your workpiece in place?
The Clamp Finder guides you from the workpiece to the right clamp.
The RUWI toggle clamp (Ø 30 mm) is the strongest size in the series. It secures workpieces, stops, and guide elements tool-free in the slot of aluminum profiles and slotted tables, and is available for slot 8 and slot 10, as well as for slot 8 with a long stroke. Instead of tightening a slot nut with an Allen wrench, simply flip the eccentric lever—the clamping point secures in seconds and can be released just as quickly. It is inserted from above at any point along the slot: raise the lever, press it into the slot against the spring force, rotate it 90 degrees, and flip the lever. To release it, follow the steps in reverse order; the individual steps are shown in the instructions under Downloads.
When you flip the lever, an eccentric mechanism pulls the hammer nut upward against the undercut of the profile slot: There, it fits snugly and is additionally clamped in place by the clamping force. This allows you to apply a clamping force of about 4 kN with approximately 120 N of hand force—enough for heavy workpieces and fixtures. Use the knurled ring to adjust the clamping range continuously to the thickness of the component you’re clamping between the clamp and the profile: 2 to 14 mm for the standard version, 14 to 26 mm for the long-stroke version. Together, they seamlessly cover the entire range from 2 to 26 mm. The overall height is 63 mm; with the long stroke, it is 73 mm. The base body is made of burnished steel, the hammer nut is galvanised, and the eccentric lever is made of powder-coated cast aluminum, manufactured in Germany.
Here's how to use it
- Securing heavy workpieces and fixtures: When used on profile frames in plant and special-purpose machinery construction, the Ø-30 size provides the clamping force that smaller clamps cannot deliver.
- Clamping thick workpieces with a long stroke: With a 14- to 26-mm clamping range , the long-stroke version securely holds even thick workpieces, tools, and fixtures on T-slot tables and profiles. RUWI uses it to clamp the machine vise onto the drilling table.
- Clamping brackets with slotted holes: Simply position the stop bracket and holder with the slotted hole continuously in the desired position and secure them in place with a single motion.
- Fixture and Equipment Construction: You can assemble structures made of aluminum profiles—both vertically and horizontally in side slots—in a matter of seconds, and the clamping point moves along with the structure without the need for setup tools.
- Adjusting the stops tool-free: Release the lever, move the stop or guide element to the new position, and engage the lever again so that the adjustment process continues smoothly without interruption.
Does this fit your aluminum profile?
When ordering, select the version: Slot 8, Slot 10, or Slot 8 with a long stroke. The clamp fits Item profiles, Item-compatible profiles, and Bosch profiles, as well as other system profiles, slotted tables, and clamping plates with this slot width—the only determining factor is the slot width, not the profile size or the manufacturer.
If you need a lower clamping force with a flatter design, the Ø 20 mm toggle clamp is the slimmer choice; it is also available with a long stroke. The toggle clamp overview shows all sizes and the versions with external threads and a clamping nut for permanent installation in components.
